Key ingredients
There are only two ingredients for this Sriracha butter! Here is more information on what to look for:
- Salted butter: I love the flavor of salted butter, but if you prefer unsalted then you can use that instead.
- Sriracha: I’ve only tested this recipe using sriracha. That said, another hot sauce should work well.

How to soften butter quickly
If you don’t have the patience to wait for the butter to slowly come to room temperature, here’s what to do:
Cut the butter into small pieces and spread them out in a single layer on your cutting board. The small pieces will soften MUCH faster than a block of butter. Easy!
Storage
We find that it is best stored in a wide jar so you can easily scoop some out when you need it. Sriracha butter will keep well for at least a month if kept in your fridge. If you want soft sriracha butter on hand, only keep out enough that you’ll use within 2 days.
