This light and refreshing rosé sangria captures summer in a pitcher and is perfect for any occasion. With the bright colors of fresh lemons, oranges, strawberries, and raspberries, it’s as beautiful as it is tasty. It’s easy to mix up ahead of time so all you have to do when the time comes is sit back and pour!

There are plenty of reasons to love sangria. This wine-based cocktail is light, fruity, and perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, with vibrant fruit floating in the glass, making it as pretty as it is refreshing. It’s ideal for parties since it can be made ahead in a big batch and easily topped up, but it’s just as lovely for a casual afternoon of sipping in the sun.
Rosé wine works beautifully here, especially a dry rosé, which balances the fruit’s sweetness. I add triple sec for its bright citrus flavor, and once it mingles with the fruit, the result is a delicate, juicy, and incredibly easy-to-drink sangria. With just a few ingredients, you simply stir and chill. Like most sangrias, it’s best made ahead so the flavors have time to develop. Serve it cold in a glass pitcher, with an optional splash of sparkling water for a lively finish.

Sangria variations to try
We love rosé sangria and all its variations using fresh fruit and herbs that are in season. Here are some ideas to mix up this rosé wine version:
- Switch up the berries – any seasonal berries like blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, or white raspberries will add their own unique flavor.
- Mix up the citrus – if blood oranges are available, they look incredible. Grapefruit and lime are also interesting variations.
- Try a different liqueur – you could use equal amounts of another orange flavored liqueur like grand marnier, cointreau, or curaçao. In a pinch, or for an hard alcohol-free option, you could use orange extract with some fresh orange zest.
- Try using basil – basil or thai basil would change the taste but is wonderful substitution for mint.
