Key ingredients
This prosciutto panini uses a lot of kitchen staples – here are some ingredients I’ll add notes on:
- Black olive tapenade – black olive tapenade is salty and perfect for spreading onto sandwiches to make them more flavorful. Check the chilled area of your supermarket where they keep charcuterie goodies. If you’re not a fan of olives, try mixing the mayo with a little basil pesto. It’s delicious!
- Prosciutto – look for prosciutto that’s deep pink (not brown) with white ribbons of fat that look consistent throughout. Its delicate flavor is generally salty with a bit of sweetness.
- Mozzarella cheese + blue cheese – this mix of cheese offers a creamy yet pungent cheesy taste.
