This Negroni sour is a bright and refreshing take on the beloved bittersweet classic. It’s a stunning drink with delicate froth and familiar flavors. Cheers to a quick and easy cocktail that takes only 5 ingredients to make!

I love how fresh lemon juice and an egg-free cocktail foamer transform a classic Negroni into a bright, frothy sour. It keeps all the familiar herbal, bittersweet flavors I love, but in a lighter, more approachable format for when a stirred Negroni feels a little too intense.
Instead of adding simple syrup, I let the sweet vermouth do the work here. The result is crisp and refreshing without tipping too sweet, though it’s easy to adjust with a teaspoon or two of simple syrup if that’s more your style. Everything gets shaken until frothy, creating a silky texture without the mess of egg whites.
I like serving this one “up” in a coupe glass with a twist of orange peel. It’s elegant enough for special occasions, quick to make, and goes down surprisingly easy—an effortless way to enjoy a Negroni-inspired cocktail.
Two more refreshing Italian cocktails to try next are an Aperol spritz and a Negroni Sbagliato .

What is cocktail foamer?
Cocktail foamer is an easy-to-use ingredient that gives cocktails a foamy head, without the mess! Just a few dashes of this egg-free solution give this drink perfect bubbles and the frothy mouthfeel we’re after. We found it slightly less foamy than traditional egg whites, but given the convenience, we think it’s worth it.
