This frozen Aperol spritz is bright, citrusy, and irresistibly slushy. Made with classic spritz ingredients plus ice and a splash of juice, it’s a quick, refreshing summer cocktail you can blend up in minutes.

A Frozen Aperol Spritz next to a bottle of Aperol - 1

Just when you thought sunny gatherings couldn’t get any better… this frozen twist on everyone’s favorite summer cocktail is about to steal the show. If you love my classic Aperol spritz , you’re going to adore this frosty, slushy version that’s just as crisp and bittersweet — only extra refreshing.

I first started blending Aperol with ice during a wildly hot summer here in British Columbia — the same heatwave that inspired my frozen Negroni slushy . When it’s that hot, you stop asking questions and just start tossing cocktails into the blender.

The beauty of this recipe is that it stays true to the original: Aperol, prosecco, and orange. The only additions are ice and a splash of orange juice, which helps create that smooth, spoonable texture and softens the bitterness just slightly. Grab your blender, happy hour is calling!

Frozen Aperol spritz variations

If a frozen rosé is a frosé… does that make this a fraperol? It kind of rolls off the tongue, right? As much as I adore this frozen Aperol spritz as-is, it’s also a dream for experimenting.

Juice swap: Change up the juice to completely transform the vibe. I’ve made it with mango juice and loved the tropical twist. Peach or pineapple juice would be just as summery and delicious.

Frozen mango: Toss a handful of frozen mango into the blender for a thicker, almost smoothie-like texture with extra fruity flavor.

Garnish game: In Italy, you’ll often see green olives. In North America, it’s usually an orange slice. I say go wild — mint leaves, fresh berries, or whatever feels festive.
