This cherry smoothie is a delicious and refreshing way to sip up all that tart cherry goodness! Combine it with some banana and almond butter, and you may just have yourself a new favorite smoothie recipe!

When cherries are in season, this cherry almond smoothie is one of my favorite ways to enjoy them. It’s bright, creamy, and perfectly balanced, with sweet-tart cherries front and center. There’s something about that fresh cherry flavor that just feels like summer in a glass.
This smoothie is equally at home as a quick breakfast or an afternoon snack. It’s kid-friendly, refreshing, and comes together in minutes, which makes it perfect for warm days when you don’t want to turn on the stove.
The flavor is where this smoothie really shines. Juicy cherries bring that unmistakable summer sweetness, while a ripe banana adds creaminess and softens the tart edge. Almond butter gives it a rich, nutty depth that pairs beautifully with cherries, making the whole smoothie taste almost dessert-like without being heavy. A splash of vanilla rounds everything out with a subtle floral note, and yogurt ties it all together into a thick, satisfying sip.

Substitutions and additions
Using this cherry smoothie recipe you will have yourself one delightful drink! That said, if you want to substitute or add ingredients it’s extremely versatile. Here are some options:
- Nut butter : You can use any nut butter – peanut tastes great.
- Fruit : You can add other types of fruit if you wish, like berries, orange, or pineapple.
- Chocolate : Cherries and chocolate are a beautiful combination. You can add cocoa powder or cacao nibs to create a chocolate cherry smoothie.
- Other smoothie additions : Adding chia seeds , hemp seeds, or flaxseed make this smoothie more filling.
