Take dinner to a delicious new level with this bang bang salmon recipe ! It’s seasoned salmon baked in the oven and then drizzled with our homemade sweet and spicy bang bang sauce. Serve it with rice and vegetables for an easy dinner that’s ready in under 15 minutes!

This bang bang salmon is one of my favorite easy weeknight dinners—sweet, spicy, and generously saucy. It’s inspired by restaurant-style bang bang shrimp, but made with salmon for a lighter, fresher take that still delivers big flavor. With tender baked salmon and a creamy sauce that hits that perfect sweet-heat balance, it’s the kind of meal that tastes like takeout but comes together fast at home.
If you’ve never had bang bang sauce before, you’re in for a treat. It’s a simple blend of mayonnaise, honey, sriracha, and rice vinegar, and it’s seriously hard to resist. Creamy, tangy, and gently spicy, it clings beautifully to the salmon and makes every bite pop. I use honey instead of sweet chili sauce for a cleaner, more balanced sweetness that lets the salmon shine.
To make it, I season the salmon with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then bake it until flaky and tender. While it cooks, I stir together the sauce, then drizzle it generously over the salmon and finish with parsley or cilantro. You can also cube the salmon for bites (the air fryer is great here), but however you serve it, this bang bang salmon is quick, bold, and always a hit.
